ABOUT DARE 2 DANCE IN PUBLIC FILM FESTIVAL

Dare to Dance in Public Film Festival (D2D) is an international dance film festival devoted to celebrating, promoting, and democratizing dance and the genre of Screen Dance. 
D2D presents films that explore dance as an urgent, irrational, universal language… dance films that expand our conceptions of what it is to be human and alive in the world today. 

 

Dare to Dance in Public Film Festival accepts both films that explore dance happening in the public realm and films that use dance occurring in traditional spaces in untraditional ways.

 

Dare to Dance in Public Film Festival is committed to using film to share the power of dance as a life force that connects us as people… transcending race, religion, ethnicity, gender, culture, language, and socio-economic backgrounds.
